• The Vancouver Whitecaps only have two injury concerns ahead of the play-off clash against rivals the Seattle Sounders, with both Matias Laba and David Edgar sidelined for the foreseeable future.

• Clint Dempsey returns from suspension and will come into the starting XI in the place of Hary Shipp. The Seattle Sounders will also have to deal with injuries to key players Jordan Morris, Brad Evans and Osvaldo Alonso. Those injuries could hinder them quite badly.

• The first leg between these two Cascadia rivals ended goalless, leaving the tie wide open. This one could go either way, although Seattle tend to be rather strong at home, with the Caps sometimes struggling on the road.

• The return of Clint Dempsey from suspension will be a big boost for the Sounders. He will give them another dimension in the final third. But Vancouver have been exceptionally consistent so far this season.

• This is a tough one to call, but Seattle’s injuries could prove a factor.
