• Luke Voit has proven to be one of the few constants for the New York Yankees, who have a major league-high 13 players on the injured list. The power-hitting first baseman has reached base safely in a career-high 36 straight games and will look to extend the streak Saturday when the Yankees continue their three-game series against the host San Francisco Giants. Voit went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs in Friday’s 7-3 victory while DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres and Gio Urshela had a combined seven hits for the Yankees, who have won seven of their last eight. Cameron Maybin, who was acquired from Cleveland on Thursday, started in right field in his Yankees’ debut and singled home a run while batting fifth.

• San Francisco saw its three-game winning streak come to an end but finally scored a run in the first inning after going scoreless in the opening frame in each of their first 25 games. The Giants have scored three or fewer runs in five of their last seven contests and need more production from outfielder Steven Duggar, who is batting .223 after going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts on Friday.

• Happ tossed a season-high seven innings last Monday versus the Los Angeles Angels, receiving a no-decision after allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts. The 36-year-old native of Illinois is one of nine pitchers to earn at least 10 wins in each of the past five seasons. Evan Longoria is 11-for-31 with a home run against Happ, who last faced San Francisco in 2016 and owns a 1-4 record and 4.80 ERA in five career starts versus the Giants.

• Holland lost his second straight decision last Saturday after giving up three runs on four hits over five innings against Pittsburgh. The 32-year-old has allowed a home run in each of his first five starts while posting a 34-to-13 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 27 innings. Holland spent the first nine seasons of his career in the American League with Texas and the Chicago White Sox and is 1-7 with a 6.38 ERA in 11 career games (10 starts) versus the Yankees.

• Voit is 18-for-49 with four homers and 10 RBIs during his career-best 13-game hitting streak.

• Giants RHP Mark Melancon began the season with 10 2/3 scoreless innings before allowing Voit’s two-run homer on Friday.

• LeMahieu is batting .344 with four homers and 40 RBIs in 95 games against the Giants since 2013.
