The Boston Celtics are healthy and on another roll, and they’ll look to extend their latest winning streak to five in a row when they visit the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. Swingman Gordon Hayward returned from a fractured hand to score 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting in the Celtics’ 110-88 win over Cleveland on Monday night as Boston improved to 10-0 at home with a dominating performance. “It was good to have him back,” forward Jayson Tatum told reporters of Hayward, who missed a month of action. “I was excited, everybody was excited, and he was excited.” Kemba Walker scored 22 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Celtics, who shot a season-high 57.7 percent while making 15-of-27 3-pointers.

The Pacers have split their last six games after opening a two-game homestand with a 110-99 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. Indiana was held below 100 points for the first time in nearly a month while falling to 9-3 at home.

Boston saw a 29-point lead cut to 12 in the second half against Cleveland, prompting coach Brad Stevens to get Walker back up off the bench midway through the fourth quarter, and the star guard responded with three quick 3-pointers to help his team pull away. “I just told the team afterwards, if you want to be special, then model after Kemba,” Stevens told reporters. “Because Kemba sits over there, thinks his night is done, gets put back in the game, drills three 3s and ends it. I mean, special is not for everybody, but that’s just different.” Tatum chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds for his third double-double.

Indiana trailed by 24 points late in the third quarter in Monday’s game before making a late push to get within seven in the game’s final two minutes. “The last quarter, coach (Nate McMillan) just said go out and play, try to get it down to 10, put some pressure on them and try to make a run,” forward Domantas Sabonis told reporters. Sabonis hauled in a career-high 22 rebounds and Malcolm Brogdon led the way offensively with 20 points.

Sabonis entered Tuesday tied for third in the NBA with 13.5 boards per game.

Celtics G Marcus Smart missed Monday’s game with an eye infection and is day-to-day.

Including a four-game sweep in the first round of the playoffs last season, Boston has won seven consecutive meetings.
