The Sixers have won three in a row overall – all by single digits – after Saturday’s 119-116 victory over the Indiana Pacers in which Joel Embiid had 32 points and 11 rebounds. Since going scoreless in a loss at Toronto last week, Embiid is averaging 30.7 points and 14.7 rebounds. “I changed my mindset,” Embiid told reporters after making 15-of-15 free throws in the win over the Pacers. “I hadn’t been as aggressive, so I’ve been more aggressive creating contact and causing other people to foul me.”

• The Jazz also had a tough time at Toronto, falling 130-100 on Sunday in their most lopsided loss of the season. Utah fell behind by 40 points at the break and could never recover while sinking to 4-7 on the road.

• Embiid had 27 points and 16 rebounds in the earlier loss at Utah.

• Sixers SG Josh Richardson (hamstring) has missed the last two games.

• Jazz PG Mike Conley scored 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting in Sunday’s loss after connecting on 9-of-40 over his previous four games combined.
