Earlier this year, the Serbian scored a crushing win over the Frenchman in the semifinal of the Australian Open and followed it up with a straight-set win over Rafael Nadal in the championship match.

•  Daniil Medvedev defeated a fellow Russian for the second time in two weeks to secure his progression into the next round, this time against Andrey Rublev (6-2 6-3). Andrey Rublev stunned the seven-time Cincinnati Masters champion Roger Federer in the round of 16 but couldn’t handle the red-hot Daniil Medvedev.

•  Daniil Medvedev ended his three-match losing run and got his first win in this matchup by edging past the Serbian in three sets in the quarterfinal of Monte Carlo Masters a few months ago. The Russian is in a terrific form at the moment and is capable of offering a stern challenge but expect Novak Djokovic to negotiate the win.
