• Liverpool fell to a fifth successive home league defeat on Thursday night for the first time in their history. The Reds are in disarray and need a win on Sunday in order to shake themselves out of their current funk ahead of the Champions League’s return next week.

• Fulham were unfortunate not to secure at least a point against Tottenham on Thursday night, with a controversial VAR decision costing the Cottagers a positive result. The Cottagers remain three points off safety, but have now played a game more than Newcastle and Brighton, who sit above them in the table.

• The Cottagers have lost their last three trips to Liverpool, but are unbeaten in seven on the road, drawing six. They drew 1-1 with Liverpool earlier in the season and at a Reds side low on confidence, another stalemate is possible.
