• Novak Djokovic recovered from a nightmare start (0-5 the first set) and produced a machine-like performance for three sets to register one of the — if not the most — memorable wins of his career in the semifinal of the French Open on Friday. In a fiercely-contested third set that concluded in an hour and 38 minutes, the Serbian squandered a 5-4 30-0 lead and later saved a set point on serve before edging the set in the tiebreaker, which proved to be decisive in the end, 3-6 6-3 7-6 6-2.

• Stefanos Tsitsipas wasted a superb start and needed five sets to overcome Alexander Zverev in the semifinal a couple of days ago. The Greek was mentally down and lost all the momentum in the third and fourth sets and had to save three consecutive breakpoints in the first game of the fifth set, 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-6 6-3.
