Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Shelia remains sidelined due to injury and will most likely miss the upcoming visit to Moscow. FC Ufa pulled off a 3-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in a friendly match that took place last weekend at Cherkizovo.

Team’s captain Igor Akinfeev is currently recovering from a knee injury and is a doubt for Friday’s match against FC Ufa. Russia international Alan Dzagoev remains sidelined with a muscle injury and is also a doubt next time out. Roman Eremenko has been suspended for 30 days by UEFA due to having allegedly failed a doping test after a Champions League match.

Leonid Slutsky has plenty of reasons to be worried about with the recent wave of injuries that has been sweeping through his team and Roman Eremenko’s absence will only make things worse for him and CSKA Moscow. The Armeitsy have failed to win their last two league matches and because of that victory on Friday is almost mandatory. The Moscow outfit are slight favourites for Friday’s match, but they will need to work very hard in order to win.

FC Ufa have not been defeated in their last five league matches and have an excellent opportunity to extend their streak when they visit Moscow on Friday.

Viktor Goncharenko knows the CSKA team very well after working there last season and that might prove to be a major asset for the Bashkortostan outfit next time out.
