Franck Ribery isn’t expected to recover in time to face PSV on Tuesday, while Javi Martinez will definitely miss out after being forced off midway through the first half of their 3-1 win over Augsburg at the weekend. Rafinha is available after returning to training following a stint out with a groin injury. Carlo Ancelotti could rotate his team after resting the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Muller at the weekend.

Remko Pasveer will continue in goal with Jeroen Zoet still sidelined because of injury. Jurgen Locadia, Jorrit Hendrix, Luciano Narsingh and Siem de Jong are all expected to miss out too, while Steven Bergwijn is struggling with an injury picked up at the weekend.

The last time Bayern Munich played away in the Champions League they lost to Atletico Madrid, which represents their only defeat in 14 competitive matches this season. They have only kept one clean sheet in their last six matches, which will be cause for concern for Carlo Ancelotti.

Similarly, PSV have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight matches. They have also only managed to win two of their last seven matches and aren’t in the best shape coming into this fixture with some key players missing.

Bayern ran out 4-1 winners the last time these two played and they shouldn’t have too much difficulty overcoming Phillip Cocu’s side on Tuesday.
