• Kayla McBride and the Minnesota Lynx will look to continue their sizzling ways on Wednesday when they return to Minneapolis to host the Dallas Wings. McBride scored a season-high 26 points in Minnesota’s 82-76 win at Phoenix on June 30 before adding 24 three nights later in a 99-68 victory over the Mercury. McBride made 18 of 26 shots from the floor and 9 of 13 from 3-point range over those two games for the Lynx (9-7), who have won four in a row and nine of their past 12. “It’s definitely a confidence-builder and so much momentum going into the Olympic break; we really need to finish strong,” said Napheesa Collier, who averages a team-best 17.8 points per game.

• McBride scored 22 points in Minnesota’s 85-73 victory over Dallas on June 17 before Marina Mabrey erupted for a career-high 28 points two nights later to lead the Wings (9-10) to a 95-77 win over the Lynx.

• Isabelle Harrison scored 16 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter of Dallas’ 99-96 setback to the New York Liberty on Monday. Harrison’s sterling performance was offset by a tough one from star Arike Ogunbowale, who made just 4 of 12 shots from the floor. She finished with 12 points.

• Ogunbowale entered the contest averaging a team-leading 20.2 points per game. She scored 20 points in the first meeting with Minnesota.

• The Lynx on Monday re-signed guard Rachel Banham to a contract after waiving her for salary cap reasons. The Minnesota native averaged 4.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 14 games with the team this season.
