The Braves posted an 11-4 victory on Friday in the opener of their three-game series at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals rallied from a four-run deficit to secure a 6-5 win on Saturday. Odorizzi (5-5, 3.95 ERA) tossed six strong innings in a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in his last start. He allowed the one run on four hits while striking out seven batters and retiring 14 of the final 15 batters he faced.

In his first three starts since arriving in a trade with the Houston Astros, Odorizzi allowed 10 runs (nine earned) on 22 hits in just 13 2/3 innings.
