Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker can’t find enough work to keep all his relievers busy. That’s a problem Luis Rojas, his New York Mets counterpart, would like to experience. The Braves will look to finish a series win over the increasingly undermanned Mets on Wednesday night when Atlanta visits New York in the finale of a four-game set.

Atlanta has won two of the first three games in the series.

Kyle Wright (0-0, 4.15 ERA) is slated to make his first start in more than two months for the Braves when he opposes fellow right-hander Tylor Megill, who will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to make his big-league debut for the Mets.

The Braves earned a 3-0 win Tuesday night when Dansby Swanson hit a three-run homer in the third and Charlie Morton struck out 11 over seven innings of one-hit ball while combining with two relievers on a two-hitter. Morton’s gem continued a timely stretch of strong performances by Braves starters, who have thrown 36 2/3 of 54 innings in the past seven games dating to last Thursday, a span in which Atlanta has played two doubleheaders.

Following Tuesday’s game, Snitker was asked about Tyler Matzek, who has thrown just one inning in the past seven games, and Chris Martin, who hasn’t appeared in a game since June 15. Snitker said both pitchers are fine and their absence has been due to a lack of need for relievers.

The Mets are relying heavily on their bullpen — entering Tuesday, the only starter to last at least five innings over the previous games was ace Jacob deGrom, who threw five one-hit innings in the opener of a doubleheader Monday. Another heavy workload for the bullpen is likely on Wednesday, when Megill will start in place of Joey Lucchesi. The left-hander suffered a torn ligament in his left elbow on Friday and will undergo Tommy John surgery Thursday.

Atlanta’s Wright was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday to take the place of Max Fried, who was scheduled to start Wednesday before being placed on the injured list with a blister. In his lone big-league appearance this season, Wright gave up two runs and three hits in 4 1/3 innings in the Braves’ 5-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on April 16. Wright is 1-1 with a 5.02 ERA in four career games (three starts) against the Mets.

Megill, 25, was 0-0 with a 3.77 ERA in three starts for Triple-A Syracuse after going 2-1 with a 3.12 ERA in five starts for Double-A Binghamton. He was selected by the Mets in the eighth round of the 2018 draft out of the University of Arizona.
