• The Phillies won’t have J.T. Realmuto this weekend, Joe Girardi said. They probably won’t have Jean Segura for tomorrow’s doubleheader both according to Matt Gelb of the Philly Inquirer.

• Eflin has struggled recently, going 0-1 with a 6.60 ERA (11 earned runs in 15 innings) in his last three starts. But they need a good one from him against the Blue Jays to remain in the postseason hunt.
• Ray had it all working his last time out with increased velocity and control of the zone over five innings of one-run ball against the Mets. If he continues to pitch like that, Ray could make a case to potentially fill the role of No. 3 or 4 starter in the postseason.
