Toronto Blue Jays (26-23)

Starting Pitchers:

Eflin (PHI): 2-2; 5.01 ERA

Ray (TOR) 1-0; 4.30 ERA

Current odds:

Philadelphia Phillies: (-110)

Toronto Blue Jays: (+100)

This is the first game of a double header – game is therefore 7 innings.

The Phillies won’t have J.T. Realmuto this weekend, Joe Girardi said. They probably won’t have Jean Segura for tomorrow’s doubleheader both according to Matt Gelb of the Philly Inquirer.

Eflin has struggled recently, going 0-1 with a 6.60 ERA (11 earned runs in 15 innings) in his last three starts. But they need a good one from him against the Blue Jays to remain in the postseason hunt.
Ray had it all working his last time out with increased velocity and control of the zone over five innings of one-run ball against the Mets. If he continues to pitch like that, Ray could make a case to potentially fill the role of No. 3 or 4 starter in the postseason.
