The line for this game is New Orleans by 2.5 points.

• Anthony Davis is searing hot and the New Orleans star will try to lead the Pelicans to their fifth win in the past six games when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Davis is one of seven players in NBA history to put together back-to-back 45-point, 15-rebound outings after producing 45 points and 16 rebounds on Tuesday as New Orleans posted a 116-113 overtime victory over the Boston Celtics. Davis had 48 points and 17 rebounds in Sunday’s overtime victory over the New York Knicks and has tallied 30 or more points in each of his past four games and seven of his last nine.

• Atlanta has won two of its past three games and is coming off Monday’s 102-99 victory over the San Antonio Spurs that featured 26 points from point guard Dennis Schroder. “I’m pleased with the way our guys competed,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said afterward. “It’s always a great test against a team that has been together a long time and does all the things that San Antonio does well.”

• Davis has six career games of at least 45 points and 15 rebounds and only Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal (seven) has more since the NBA-ABA merger in the summer of 1976. Davis is averaging 33.4 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots over his last nine games as New Orleans has matched its season high-water mark by moving three games over .500. Power forward DeMarcus Cousins had 19 points and 15 rebounds against Boston for his ninth double-double in the past 10 games.

• Schroder’s big outing against the Spurs included some late-game heroics and followed his career-best, 34-point outing against the Brooklyn Nets. “I’m glad we got the win, first off,” Schroder said after the victory over the Spurs. “I hit my shots in crunch time.” The 24-year-old Schroder has scored 20 or more points in seven of the past 11 games, and is averaging career bests of 20.3 points and 6.6 assists in his second straight strong season.

• SG E’Twaun Moore scored 24 points as the Pelicans notched a 106-105 home victory over the Hawks on Nov. 13.

• New Orleans G Jrue Holiday scored 23 points against Boston and is averaging 26.3 on 29-of-46 shooting over the past three games.

• Atlanta PF Ersan Ilyasova recorded his ninth 20-point outing of the season when he had 20 points against the Spurs.
