Utah Utes: (+145)

The line for the game is BYU by 3.5 points.

The Cougars started 5-1, but then needed a 95-80 home win over Utah State on Wednesday to snap a three-game losing streak. Leading-scorer Yoeli Childs scored a season-high 31 points and junior guard Nick Emery returned to contribute 11 points off the bench after missing the first nine games and all of last season for personal reasons and an NCAA suspension for receiving improper benefits. Guards TJ Haws (16.0 points) and Jahshire Hardnett (12.3) also are averaging double figures for BYU, which ranks 21st nationally in scoring with 85.7 points and is fifth with a 1.72 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Buckets haven’t been as easy to come by for the Utes, who are averaging 74.6 points and have topped 80 only once in seven games. Barefield (13.7) and forward Donnie Tillman (11.6) are the only players averaging double digits, but six others are contributing at least 5.7 per outing. Barefield is averaging a team-most 3.4 assists for Utah, but the Utes have a 1.10 assist-to-turnover ratio with only nine more assists than giveaways on the season.

BYU has won eight of the last 11 meetings, including a 77-65 victory in Provo last Dec. 16.
