Nebraska Cornhuskers: (-350)

The line for the game is Nebraska by 7.5 points.

Ty-Shon Alexander (19.4 points) tallied 27 points against Gonzaga and has scored in double figures in every game so far, joining the program’s top two all-time scorers – Doug McDermott and Rodney Buford – as the only sophomores to accomplish that feat. He is also the first Bluejay ever to make multiple 3-pointers in each of the first eight contests of a season, while his 30 triples over that span are tied for second place in school history through eight games. Fellow sophomore Damien Jefferson (12.3 points) is 10-of-15 from 3-point range, while freshman Marcus Zegarowski (9.6) is the first Creighton freshman since Ryan Sears in 1997-98 to begin his career by hitting at least one 3-pointer in each of his first eight outings.

Leading scorer James Palmer Jr.’s shooting woes continued against the Golden Gophers, as he failed to convert more than 39 percent of his field-goal attempts for the sixth time in seven contests, although Wednesday marked the only time in four tries he was unable to exceed his season scoring average (17.4 points). Fellow senior Isaac Copeland Jr. (15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds) and Isaiah Roby (9.0 points, 5.4 boards, 1.4 blocks) led the way offensively for Nebraska with 17 and 15 points, respectively, but both forwards fouled out late as Minnesota completed its rally. Point guard Glynn Watson Jr. (14.6 points) is enjoying a solid bounce-back campaign, shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 46.8 percent beyond the arc (34.7 and 29.1 percent, respectively, in 2017-18).

Nebraska has lost seven straight to Creighton – all by double figures – since last defeating the Bluejays in 2010.
