Matthew Tkachuk, who scored Sunday in his hometown of St. Louis, has 15 goals and 40 points with three and 10 coming in the past nine contests. David Rittich (11-3-1, 2.21 goals-against average, .925 save percentage) played on back-to-back nights for the first time in his career this weekend, stopping 60 of 63 shots as he continues to outplay Mike Smith (11-7-1, 2.99, .888).

Tyler Seguin (10 goals) leads the team with 30 points after scoring twice Saturday – his first two goals to go along with three assists in seven December games. Captain Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov – Seguin’s linemates – are second and third in points (26 and 25) with Benn scoring his club-high 13th goal Saturday and Radulov contributing two assists Saturday. The Stars continue to play without defensemen John Klingberg (broken hand) and Connor Carrick (fractured foot), who could be back right after Christmas, while the situation is less clear for blueliners Marc Methot (knee) and Stephen Johns (headaches).

Dallas has lost three straight versus the Pacific Division after going 9-0-1 in its first 10 such games this season.
