•  Bologna have not won in their last eight, and having dropped into the relegation zone, Filippo Inzaghi’s job in doubt. A draw here would be a decent result given the opponent, but in the meantime, Udinese, Empoli and SPAL may have pulled away.

•  Milan were eliminated from the Europa League after their loss to Olympiacos on Thursday. Fourth in the table is keeping their season on track, but that could quickly change if they don’t improve.

•  Both sides are struggling in this part of the season, but all in all Milan are in a more comfortable position given that they are on target in the domestic league and not having to play in the Europa League could be an advantage in the long run. That said, they are low on confidence and could easily be upset by a smaller team.
