• Watford saw their meeting with Burnley on Tuesday night postponed for the second time this season as they gear up for another huge relegation six-pointer. The Hornets ended a run of six straight defeats with a late 1-1 draw with Newcastle at the weekend, which should be a confidence boost.

• Norwich, too, ended a six-game losing run at Everton’s expense on Saturday to move to within one point of Friday’s opponents, albeit having played a two games more. The Canaries were torn apart by Watford in the reverse fixture, so will need to put up a stronger fight at Vicarage Road.

• Considering the number of absentees in the Norwich camp, particularly in midfield, Watford may well eke out a huge three points in this one.
