• Chelsea ended their Goodison Park hoodoo with a 1-0 win at Everton last weekend as Jorginho’s goal from the spot proved enough to secure all the spoils. The Blues won all four meetings with Tottenham last season and haven’t conceded a goal to Spurs since September 2020.

• Spurs, though, were excellent in their 4-1 win over Southampton last weekend. While it is impossible to look too much into that victory, it’s a welcome morale boost ahead of Sunday’s London derby.

• This is a huge six-pointer in the second round of games and in what is expected to be a hot Stamford Bridge, the spoils may be shared.
