• Manchester City got their title defence off in rampant fashion with a resounding 5-0 win at West Ham. They welcome Tottenham to the Etihad Stadium for the third time this year and will hope for a repeat of the league encounter between these two back in April.

• Spurs came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-1 last weekend and will look to follow that up with victory at the champions. However, the north London side have lost their last three visits to Manchester City and have lost their last six away league matches.

• City overcame Tottenham 1-0 earlier this year and a similarly close affair, one that City should edge, is on the cards this weekend
