• Getafe played out a physical draw with Valencia away from home in their La Liga opener, taking a point from their old boss Pepe Bordalas. This will likely be a very different prospect given Sevilla are one of the league’s best teams, but they will be boosted by the return of their supporters at Colisseum Alfonzo Perez.

• Sevilla made easy work against Rayo Vallecano last time out, though they were against 10 men. Lamela got off to a flyer with two goals, a feat that took him 37 games after signing for Tottenham. That confidence should serve him well coming into this one, while En-Nesyri, who netted 18 times in La Liga last season, is off the mark having scored from the spot.

• Michel’s Getafe will look to make it particularly difficult for Sevilla here, and they showed they can be defensively resolute against Valencia, but this should still be a relatively comfortable win for Sevilla given the talent they have, despite a number of injury issues.
