• European champions Italy are looking to add the UEFA Nations League trophy to their collection but before thinking of the final they must first overcome Spain. Since beating England on penalties at the Euro 2020 final in the summer, Italy have drawn two of their subsequent three games.

• It won’t be billed as a revenge mission for Spain, but Luis Enrique would love to get one over on the Azzurri on Wednesday. Spain should have really beaten Italy in the semi-finals of Euro 2020, only to crash out on penalties. It wouldn’t be a surprise if extra-time was required again here.
