• Arthur Rinderknech makes his debut in Stockholm as he looks to end his career-best season of 2021 on a positive note. He is currently winless in three matches, which includes a disappointing straight-set defeat at the hands of compatriot Manuel Guinard in the first round of Brest Challenger a couple of weeks ago.

• Alexander Bublik is also enjoying his career-best season so far in 2021. He played a couple of championship matches in ATP Antalya (L) and Singapore (L) and made a couple of quarterfinal appearances in Masters events in Madrid (L) and Miami (L).
However, the big-serving Kazakh must be a bit disappointed for not claiming silverware on the main tour this year, especially in his home event in Nur-Sultan two months ago, where he wasted a set lead against the first-time finalist Soon Woo Kwon in the semifinal.
