• Brazilian forward Jonathas de Jesus picked up an injury during last round’s match against FC Arsenal Tula and is a doubt. Alex Song and Ruslan Kambolov missed the team’s last training session due to injury and are also doubts for Monday’s match in Moscow. Maksim Kanunnikov and Denis Tkachuk are yet to recover from their respective injuries and will probably not travel with the team to the Russian capital city.

• Russian defender Dmitri Kombarov suffered an injury in last round’s match at Samara and will miss out. Salvatore Bocchetti and Zé Luís are still recovering from their respective injuries and are also ruled out of Monday’s match. Ivelin Popov has been struggling with a fever recently and remains a doubt for the last match of the year against FC Rubin.

• FC Spartak Moscow’s winning streak came to an end in midweek after a shocking 4-0 defeat at Samara. Head Coach Massimo Carrera will need to act quickly in order to minimise the negative effects of such heavy defeat.

• FC Rubin Kazan’s last league defeat was more than a month ago and they are hoping to extend their recent good run of results when they visit Otkrytie Arena on Monday.
