Redshirt senior guard Chelsea Dungee took over in this one, lighting up the scoreboard to the tune of 33 points, a new season-high. Redshirt senior Destiny Slocum continued her strong play for the Hogs on Thursday, scoring 17 points and grabbing five rebounds.

Amber Ramirez and Makayla Daniels also scored in double-figures, notching 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Senior forward Taylah Thomas nearly double-doubled against the Gators, going for nine points and eight boards.

The Gamecocks’ starting backcourt of Zia Cooke and Destanni Henderson is building a substantial resume this season. Cooke is sixth in the SEC with a team-best 18.8 points per game, hitting 2.3 3-pointers per game to rank sixth in the SEC. She does that while adding 3.0 assists per game.

Henderson is third on the team with 12.1 points per game, including a pair of 20-point outings. Her 5.5 assists per game are 21st in the country (2nd in the SEC), and her 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio is 29th in the nation (3rd in the SEC).

Sophomore forward Aliyah Boston continues to show off her expanding game this season with four double-figure rebound games, six double-figure scoring games and 1.6 blocks per game. She is one of three players in the SEC averaging a double-double on the season and one of two who also rank among the league’s top 10 in blocked shots.
