Shkodran Mustafi was forced off early on in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Stoke and misses out, but Hector Bellerin is back to full fitness and is set to start having replaced the German in the victory. Arsene Wenger is without Chuba Akpom, Santi Cazorla, Mathieu Debuchy and Yaya Sanogo through injury, while Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck are both way short of match fitness. Wenger could bring Alex Iwobi into the starting XI after his impact from the bench against Stoke.

Arouna Kone will be assessed closer to kick off, but Ronald Koeman is without Muhamed Besic, Matthew Pennington and Yannick Bolasie through injury. Ross Barkley and Aaron Lennon may feature in place of Gerard Deulofeu and James McCarthy.

Everton’s 3-2 loss at Watford means the Toffees have won just one of their last 10 Premier League fixtures. After a strong start to the season, Koeman’s side are now down in ninth and face an uphill task to return to winning ways against Arsenal.

The Gunners have won their last three league meetings with Everton and are unbeaten away from home in the Premier League this term. Wenger’s team have lost just twice in all competitions this term and will be confident of inflicting further damage upon an underwhelming Toffees outfit. It may be close, but Arsenal have the means to come away from Goodison Park with all three points.
