Serge Aurier or Grzegorz Krychowiak might need to fill in in central defence should Unai Emery decide to rest one of his Brazilian defenders this weekend, with Presnel Kimpembé unable to feature due to suspension. Javier Pastore was able to resume training on Wednesday but is not likely to be available to face Lille. Jesé Rodriguez and Hatem Ben Arfa will both hope to be involved from the off after respective long spells on the bench, with their manager yet to rotate in this area.

Frédéric Antonetti, who returns from a two-match touchline suspension, is likely to name an unchanged line-up against PSG as he remains unable to welcome back any of his injured players. This means Morgan Amalfitano, Yassine Benzia and Julian Palmieri should need to accept another role from the bench at best.

Lille secured a well-deserved 2-1 home win over Bastia at the weekend, grabbing three much-needed points ahead of the welcome of PSG. Le LOSC have already picked up six points in October and could move level on points with Lyon and Marseille with a win against Unai Emery’s side on Friday evening.

PSG travel to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy off the back of a disappointing goallesss draw with Marseille in Sunday’s Classique, having failed to defeat their historical rivals for the first time in 10 competitive fixtures. The capital side now stand six points behind league leagers OGC Nice, only increasing the pressure on Unai Emery before this weekend’s game.

Frédéric Antonetti’s have been able to bounce back this month despite the absences of numerous key elements, but they are yet to taste victory against an ambitious side this campaign.
