• No. 20 South Carolina has powered through the first 10 games of its schedule based on one of the nation’s strongest defenses, but will face a solid defensive unit in its own right when it hosts Clemson on Wednesday. The Gamecocks rank fourth in the country in opponent scoring at 57.7 points per game, but the Tigers come to town allowing just 63.6 points per contest and riding a six-game winning streak.

• The Tigers have been outstanding on defense during their winning streak, surrendering just 56.8 points per game and more than 65 points only once. Senior forward Jaron Blossomgame leads the Tigers in scoring at 17.6 points per game and needs 17 points to pass former NBA star Larry Nance for 17th place on the school’s all-time scoring list.
