Tulsa tries to bounce back from having a pair of winning streaks snapped when it hosts Boise State on Wednesday. The Golden Hurricane had won six consecutive games and 19 straight non-conference home contests before losing to Arkansas State on Saturday, and will try to pick up their offense after averaging 67.3 points over their last three games. Though they were unable to get the job done, Tulsa held Arkansas State to 66 points – in line with its average of 61.4 allowed while holding teams to a 37.6 field goal percentage – tied for 27th nationally entering Tuesday. Consistency has been an issue for the Golden Hurricane all season as coach Frank Haith has deployed four different starting lineups consisting of nine players. Though he has stuck with the same group the last four games, the team is still looking for consistent scoring outside of leading scorer Brandon Rachal, who averages 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds.

The Broncos step back out of the Mountain West after splitting their first two conference games, and already have a victory against a solid BYU squad on their resume.

Forward Derrick Alston Jr., who was a preseason All-Mountain West selection, leads the conference with 21.4 points per game and was 19th nationally while eclipsing 20 in all but one game. Swingman Justinian Jessup has been heating up, scoring at least 19 points and averaging 23 in the last four games after averaging 12 in the first four. The backcourt tandem of Alex Hobbs and Marcus Dickinson has started every game and has done a good job taking care of the ball, boasting nearly twice the assists (40) than turnovers (22).

Forward Jeriah Horne has primarily been a bench player but is the next-biggest scoring threat behind Rachal, scoring 22 points twice but averaging 7.3 in the other seven games. The same could be said about swingman Reggie Jones, who after dropping 18 points in his first game in the starting lineup has averaged 5.3 in the three games since. While Darien Jackson has cooled off since averaging four points in the last four games after reaching double figures three times in the first five games, he is still useful in facilitating with 22 assists compared to nine turnovers.

The Golden Hurricane’s bench has averaged 20.7 points, 12.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

Tulsa’s loss to Arkansas State was its first non-conference setback at The Reynolds Center since a 74-67 loss to Lamar on Nov. 10, 2017.

Broncos F RJ Williams leads the MWC in field-goal shooting at 68.9 percent.
