Ryu (groin) will be activated from the injured list to make his first start since leaving after 1 2/3 innings against St. Louis on April 8. The 32-year-old South Korean pitched well in his first two turns of the season as he allowed three runs and 10 hits while registering 13 strikeouts without issuing a walk. Ryu defeated the Brewers in his one regular-season appearance against them on May 22, 2013, when he gave up two runs and six hits over 7 1/3 frames.

Anderson will make his first start of the season after getting the nod from manager Craig Counsell after Friday’s contest. The 31-year-old made 30 regular-season starts last year, when he went 9-8 with a 3.93 ERA. Anderson, who has made five relief appearances in 2019, owns a 1-4 record and 5.02 ERA in 12 career games (11 starts) versus the Dodgers.

Dodgers CF Joe Pederson is 0-for-8 with four strikeouts in his last three games after hitting a home run in four of his previous five contests.

Milwaukee optioned RHPs Corbin Burnes (11 homers allowed in four starts) and Jake Petricka to Triple-A San Antonio while recalling LHP Donnie Hart from the same affiliate and activating RHP Alex Wilson from the paternity list.
