• The Indians took game 1 4-3. Below is some information on the game 2 starting pitchers. The start time is slightly later due to game 1 running late.

Rodon made seven starts in 2019 before shutting down his season in mid-May to undergo Tommy John surgery. The 27-year-old Miami native, who was the third overall pick in the 2014 draft, has made just 39 starts since recording 28 in 2016 while matching his career high of nine victories. Carlos Santana is 8-for-24 with a pair of doubles against Rodon, who gave up one unearned run on two hits with nine strikeouts over six innings versus the Indians last year.

Plutko was scheduled to start the season in the bullpen, but manager Terry Francona shuffled his rotation after the rainout to set up his top three against Minnesota in the next series. The 25-year-old California native made a career-high 20 starts last season and none of them came against the White Sox as he finished with a 3.83 ERA at home. Tim Anderson and Yoan Moncada have homered versus Plutko, who is 1-1 with a 7.94 ERA in three appearances (two starts) against Chicago.
