• The loss of Killian Tillie (ankle) prior to the season opened up a starting spot for fellow junior forward Brandon Clarke and the San Jose State transfer has been terrific through the first seven games. Clarke scored 18 points on 9-of-9 shooting in Monday’s 102-60 victory over North Dakota State and is shooting 77.8 percent from the field while averaging 15.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.1 blocked shots. Junior forward Rui Hachimura (team-best 21.9 points), Norvell (17.3) and senior point guard Josh Perkins (averages of 11.4 points and 8.0 assists) are also off to strong starts.

• Sophomore guard Ty-Shon Alexander is playing well for the Bluejays and is shooting 47.2 percent from 3-point range while averaging 18.3 points. Alexander has scored in double digits each game this season with his best showing being a career-high 36 in a win over Clemson. Creighton is shooting a stellar 46.7 percent from 3-point range and is averaging 83.6 points but has raised that figure to 93 during the four-game winning streak.
