Washington Huskies (26-7)

Current odds:

The spread for the game is Oregon by 1.5 points.

The Ducks have made their late winning run thanks to some strong defense, holding their last seven opponents to an average of 55.1 points per game, and finishing with a 25-10 edge in points off turnovers in the win over the Sun Devils. Freshman forward Louis King had a team high 19 points and seven rebounds and is averaging 17 points and seven rebounds in three tournament games while junior point guard Payton Pritchard added 18 points and eight assists. No team has won more Pac-12 tournament games in Las Vegas than Oregon, which is 16-4 since the league moved the championship to Sin City in 2013 and will be going for its third tourney title in that span, winning it in 2013 and 2016.

Hopkins lobbied after Friday night’s win that 6-5 senior guard Matisse Thybulle, who had 12 points, three blocks and a steal to move into a tie with Gary Payton for the Pac-12 career steals record of 321, should be the national defensive player of the year. “You’ve got to have him in the game,” Hopkins said. “It’s like Deion Sanders. You’ve got to have him in the game.” Five Huskies finished in double figures led by sophomore guard Jaylen Nowell, the Pac-12 Player of the Year, and 6-9 sophomore forward Nahziah Carter who both finished with 14 points.

Washington had 13 steals in the win over Colorado, two off the Pac-12 tournament record.
