The line for this game is Florida State by 20.5 points.

• Ninth-ranked Florida State has a major challenge awaiting when the ACC season starts next weekend, but the Seminoles first look to add one more victory as they finish the non-conference slate against visiting Winthrop on Tuesday. Florida State has won six consecutive games and shot at least 50 percent from the field in the last three, including a season-best 55.4 effort in the 81-59 victory over Saint Louis last time out on Dec. 22.  Florida State, which visits No. 2 Virginia to open its ACC slate on Saturday, is well balanced with senior guard Terance Mann (12.3 points) leading seven players scoring at least 7.5 per contest. The Seminoles have beaten Florida, LSU, Purdue and Connecticut while losing their only game against defending national champion Villanova on Nov. 25 in the final of the AdvoCare Invitational at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

• Winthrop comes to Tallahassee with four straight victories after knocking off Prairie View A&M 76-62 on Saturday, but three of the Eagles’ eight wins have come against non-Division I opponents and they lost at Florida State 100-86 in 2016.

• Senior guard Nych Smith leads five players in double figures scoring at 16 per game and dishes out a team-high 3.9 assists while junior forward Josh Ferguson averages 12.8 points and a team-best 7.8 rebounds. Senior guard Adam Pickett adds 11.5 points per contest and is shooting 59.7 percent from the field overall, including 15-of-29 makes from behind the 3-point arc. The Eagles score 90.5 points per game and are connecting on 40.4 percent of their 3-pointers, but they average 16.8 turnovers after coughing the ball up 27 times Saturday.

• Mann scored 17 in each of the last two games, draining 14-of-21 shots from the field in the process, and also tops the team in rebounding (6.8) after hauling in seven against Saint Louis. Sophomore forward Mfiondu Kabengele averages 12 points, including a career-high 24 against North Florida on Dec. 19, and junior guard Trent Forrest adds 11.1 points per game along with team highs of 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals. Sophomore guard M.J. Walker (8.3 points, 17-of-40 from 3-point range) left the Saint Louis game with a knee injury, but it is not believed to be serious.

• Seminoles senior F Phil Cofer scored seven points against Saint Louis in his second game of the season after returning from a preseason foot injury.

• Winthrop sophomore G Kyle Zunic is averaging 13.8 points in his last five games, connecting on 11-of-25 from 3-point range in that span.

• Florida State senior C Christ Koumadje leads the team with 20 blocks and needs four to tie Mike Mathews (118) for 10th in school history.
