Falcao has returned to training after missing the historical 7-0 away win to FC Metz due to concussion and will be assessed along with teammates Nabil Dirar, Benjamin Mendy and Adama Traoré. Guido Carrillo and Gabriel Boschilia, who have both rarely disappointed when called upon in recent weeks, may feature again.

Pascal Dupraz will have to make do without in-form Ola Toivonen as the Swedish international misses out due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Loanee Odsonne Édouard and Oscar Trejo will battle it out for a place near Martin Braithwaite in his absence.

Toulouse’s three-match winning streak came to an halt as they fell to a 1-0 away defeat to Caen prior to the international break, a loss that came only one week after their impressive showing against PSG. Pascal Dupraz, who has never lost twice in a row at the club, will expect his troops to react when they meet with a new title contender at the Stadium this weekend.

Monaco became the most prolific attack in the country when they hammered FC Metz 7-0 on the road a fortnight ago, keeping them within touching distance of local rivals Nice in Ligue 1. They have won both of their domestic fixtures before their Champions League group stages exertions thus far, a tendency that needs to continue if they are to spend the weekend in high spirits before travelling to Russia.

Toulouse were not intimidated by the likes of Bordeaux and PSG earlier in the season at home so they are unlikely to suffer the same humbling as Metz against Monaco, but their attacking personnel will need to step up in Ola Toivonen’s absence if they are to collect at least one point here.
