• Spurs were dealt a blow at the weekend when centre-back Toby Alderweireld was forced off with a knee problem in the 1-1 draw with West Brom, with Eric Dier set to start alongside Jan Vertonghen. Harry Kane is still yet to recover from an ankle injury and misses out.

• Karim Bellarabi, Vladlen Yurchenko and Joel Pohjanpalo are all ruled out for the welcome of Spurs on Tuesday night. Lars Bender is a doubt for the hosts and will be assessed closer to kick off.

• Bayer Leverkusen will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 weekend defeat with their first win in the Champions League this season against Spurs. The Bundesliga outfit have drawn their two European matches so far.
