Arkansas @ Texas A&M

Who will WIN this matchup?

Arkansas Razorbacks (19-11)

@ Texas A&M Aggies (15-14)

Current odds:

Arkansas Razorbacks: (-160)

Texas A&M Aggies: (+135)

The spread for the game is Arkansas by 3 points.

Although it’s unlikely, the Razorbacks could end up slipping down to the No. 11 seed in next week’s conference tournament, which would bring with it a spot in the first round instead of a bye. It would take a loss to Texas A&M, a Missouri victory over Alabama and an Ole Miss loss to Mississippi State, which would create a tie at 7-11 between the Tigers and the Razorbacks. It would then depend on the seeding between Auburn, Florida and LSU because of how it would affect the tiebreaker between Missouri and Arkansas, but long story short, if Auburn or Florida finishes ahead of LSU in the seeding, the Razorbacks would earn the No. 11 seed and be forced to play in the first round.

As shown by the win at Auburn that snapped the Tigers’ 19-game home winning streak, Texas A&M is not going to be an easy out of the SEC Tournament. Williams has been around for a while and coached in a lot of postseason tournaments with success, and he’ll have his team ready to go defensively. Williams says he wants his team to be good at making opponents play bad, and the Aggies’ hard-nosed defense could have even more of an effect on opponents with the pressure of the postseason looming.

Arkansas is averaging 8.1 steals per game to lead the SEC and rank 32nd in the nation.
