• The Bulgarian side aren’t expected to make many changes from what we have seen in their first two Champions League group stage matches this season.

• David Ospina comes back in between the sticks as Arsenal gear up for Champions League football on Wednesday. Granit Xhaka was sent off against Swansea at the weekend but his suspension will not carry over into European competition. He could still be rotated out of the team with Francis Coquelin ready to start. Olivier Giroud hasn’t featured in any of Arsenal’s last three matches and is struggling to shake off a toe injury. He remains a doubt for Wednesday’s match.

• Arsenal are on their best run since April 2015 having won each of their last six matches. They have scored at least three goals in four of those matches and kept four clean sheets in that time. Arsene Wenger’s side are in good shape coming into their first ever meeting with Ludogorets as they look to keep pace with Paris Saint-Germain at the top of their group.

• Ludogorets have only managed to win one of their last nine Champions League group stage matches but they have drawn two of their last three and scored in each of those matches. Overall, they have only lost two of their last 19 matches in all competitions and have won 13 of those.

• Nevertheless, Arsene Wenger’s side should have more than enough to overcome the group minnows with a comfortable win.
